On Christmas Eve we checked into the Disney resort and spend Christmas and Boxing day at Disneyland. And it was magic.

Last day at Disney

Our Little Family (now complete)
I consider myself to be a pretty big Disney fan, we did five days at Disneyworld and one day at Euro Disney on our honeymoon. By the end of day three at the Tokyo Disney parks I was well at truly Disney-ed out. Our third day involved more rides, more mickey shaped food and SHOPPING. Oh so much Disney shopping, in very busy Disney stores.
Mickey Waffles (so sweet!)

Icey snack on a warm day
Ri and I took Imogen on the Jungle Cruise and Winnie the Pooh's hunny pot. I would strongly recommend the Winnie the Pooh ride, Ri and I both enjoyed it and Imogen laughed out loud the entire time (a strong show of emotions from my normally serious one, who usually prides herself on not giving away that she is enjoying herself). Ri enjoyed it for boring Engineering reasons, something about how the carts must have been .

Mum took Imogen on It's a Small World, while Ri, Arch and I vegged out at a cafe in Tomorrowland.
On the Jungle Cruise

hahaha this was Arch's face most of the time at Disneyland... it was like he was asking WTF is going on

mmm Mike redbean whatever it was

On the jungle cruise

Fabulous (she was doing a new thing of stuffing her fingers in her mouth when she noticed I was trying to take a photo)

Happy Princess at Disneyland

Imogen fell asleep at Disneyland every single day we were there (she will deny that vehemently). We didn't end up seeing the fireworks, we were usually all stuffed and ready to leave by 7pm. I was definitely an enjoyable introduction to Disney Parks for Imogen (Arch just looked confused the entire time we were there). I've now started planning DisneyWorld trip 2020.
Dinner from Family Mart... so good

Disney Magic

My Princess outside the castle
Jetstar were offering flights to Osaka or Tokyo. Disneyland is the reason I picked Tokyo. From our Tokyo Home it was a 5-10 minute walk to Hatchobori Station which was an 11 minute train ride to Maihama Station on the Keiyo line (16 minute ride on the local service, 11 is express). I am a pretty big Disney Fan, having spent more time in Disney Parks as an adult than as a child, and I could not pass up an opportunity to share this with my three year old.

Some of the costumes we saw! Impressive efforts considering how HOT it was!
We had planned on going to DisneySea on the first day but we turned right when we should have turned left and ended up at the entrance to Disneyland, so Disneyland it was.

The first thing I noticed about Tokyo Disneyland was that most of the adults were really getting into the spirit of the place, with full on head to toe Disney costumes. It turns out the we were there during the first week of the Halloween celebrations so it was one of

two weeks when adults were allowed to visit the park in costume, which is usually only allowed for children under the age of 12.

Lunch Stop
The morning was a bit of a write off, we bounced from the ice cream shop to the nursing room to somewhere for lunch to the nursing room to somewhere for a snack. So all we had done was eat and change nappies!
Mickey Pizza
Finally in the early afternoon we sat down to watch the parade. The best part of our first day at Disneyland was watching Imogen figure out that this place was Magic. She'd started out, frankly, a bit cranky. During the Parade I could feel her outer shell of cranky start to crack a bit. As we saw each of her favourite Disney Princesses and all the characters from Winnie the Pooh and Mary Poppins and TinkerBell, I felt her perk up and get interested.
After the Parade we all went on the kids first ride at Disneyland - It's a Small World.

It's a Small World after all... Arch loves it
Going on It's a Small World with the kids was just a great experience. By the end of the ride I could feel Immy's joy radiating off her, and Archer was enjoying himself too.  After It's a Small World Imogen, Ri and I went on the spinning tea cups and that was what finalised it - this place was amazing fun! According to Imogen.

We bounced from ride to ride in Fantasyland and finished the day off with a look inside the castle. Imogen actually ended up falling asleep at about 6:30pm at Disneyland, so we hopped on a train and went home.

Hi Mummy!

Dumbo ride - one of Immy's favourites

Inside the castle (this person doesn't work at disneyland) They were there with what seemed like a professional photographer and their partner (so I was thinking it was an engagement shoot? or something like that)

Inside the Castle!

Inside the Castle

As we were leaving the park, walking back to the train station I asked Ri if he agreed that we siphoned happiness from our kid's happiness and he said "their smiles give me the kind of high thrill rides fail to give me anymore." nawwwww...
On the tea cups!
